After his studies at ECV, Laurent Baumann worked freelance for two years before joining an ad agency in Marseille and then a press agency in Cannes. For three years he worked on magazine layouts by day and freelanced for paid and free software developers by night, designing icons. “The icon is the meeting point between the logo and illustration. More and more often, icons are logos, like the Firefox browser or Twitter with the blue Twitterrific bird”. Apple noticed his work in 2009 and invited him to join their team in Cupertino, California.
