“I really loved my typography and publishing courses at ECV. I like the formal and rigorous approach they require.” During his studies at ECV, Jad Hussein did a work placement with Base in Paris, then another in London with Studio 8 Design, which specializes in magazine design. “This time spent abroad really opened my mind. We worked with Japanese, Germans and Danes.” Strengthened by the experience, he went on to win the Lyon Museum of Contemporary Art competition. This gave him the boost he needed to create his own studio called Look Specific, where he shares his time between publishing and visual identity.
